The annual authoritas conference is the leading Public Sector tax convention in the UK. Now in its fifth year, the conference will be held at the Hinckley Island Hotel, Leicestershire from 16 – 18 September 2008.

In response to increasing emphasis from The Law Society on general business and practice management skills,we are pleased to present our 2008 Lawline programme. You will have noted from your professional updates and journals that there is an increased emphasis on practice and commercial business awareness.
It is the responsibility of every solicitor to understand how their involvement and input impacts on the efficient running of the practice, systems, controls, management and performance. In addition, it is essential to develop commercial awareness, an understanding of business, and the economy to fully understand the issues and key drivers of your business and that of your clients. Who should attend? Managing partners, senior partners, finance directors, practice managers, other law management professionals, and all practising solicitors.
For external venues there is a nominal charge of £25 per session, however the events held in the Bristol and Swindon offices are free.
